K-Rino - stories from the black book
This post is for the homie HSPussy (enjoy bro)!!! This album originally came out in 1993 but i only bought the cassette back then. It was re-released on cd in 2005 which is where this rip came from. If u aint up in this album then wake up!!! This is an absolute classic (i don't use that word lightly ever) from beginning to end. K-Rino has too many albums for me to count but as usual his earlier stuff is better. This was his first solo album. Hit me up if u want more from him. Let me know what yall think about this Houston banger!

Techni Crew - We The People EP (Mixed Image Records 1989)
Yo! Sorry for being lazy but life's a bitch & got stuck with things...I'm still bizzy lately but I got some spare time to upload this fresh EP for Ya'll! Check out this nice cut-up early gangsta ep. Surely Ya'll love Dj I-Knight's theory of scratch. Can't miss this one! Don't sleep!
Notes: The B-side is the same as A-side
There is also another release on this label "Ill Fated - Califunk back from 1994 released both on 12'' & tape. I believe it's the same group as they used lots of samples from "We The People EP".

MC ROD - Life's a Bitch
Once again i just recently picked this up in a discount bin. I've never heard of this dude before but I believe he's outta Houston, Tx. This album came out in 1993 on Rhyme Tyme records and it's pretty decent. MC Rod self produced the entire thing and used many recycled beats (even for 1993) that he flipped pretty good though. Rhymin is decent too as he doubles up words at times. If anybody has more info on this let me know.
DOWNLOADSpice 1 - Let It Be Known EP
I'm not gonna say much about this cuz yall should already know. IMO anything by Spice 1 in his early days in worth posting (and owning). I just recently copped this used (hence the writing on the label) and that's why i'm posting it now. This dropped in 1991 and produced entirely by Ant Banks.

Uncle Jamms Army - naughty boy b/w what's your sign
Here's a 12" from 1985 on freak beat records. I really dig that old electro rap ish. So included with this 12" are a few more songs by Uncle Jamms Army from other 12" i have. There might be a little cracklin in these songs because my vinyl is ooooollllldddd. Enjoy and don't hurt yourself when u r pop lockin to this shit!!!
Hyenas in the desert - die laughing
I have to admit i slept on this group back in the day when this first came out in 1996. I remember seeing it in stores because of the album cover but i never heard it. So i bought one of their 12" recently and really liked it so when i saw the cd in a discount bin i copped it. I did not realize this until now but this album was put out on Chuck D's lam Jamz label and produced entirely by Gary G-Wiz. So if you are like me and slept on this before wake the eff up and peep game now because this is a nice album. Let me know what yall think!!

MIC VANDALZ - LOVE + HATE B/W FEEL THE RUSH
This 12" came out in 1998 on Jive. All songs produced by Dame Grease. These are songs that were supposed to be taken from their upcoming album "Vandalize" which, as far as i can figure out, never materialized. The single "feel the rush" was on The Corruptor soundtrack and they were also feature on a song called Real Hip Hop II off of KRS ONE's album I Got Next. I guess they also have another 12" called "no stoppin" so if anybody has a link to that please share because i'd like to hear it.

Cipher - 360
I have never heard of these cats before but i picked this cd up cheap and I am glad i did. This is a full length album with nice production all the way through. Not sure if it came out in '95 or '97 because the album credits and discogs say both. It is on bomb hip hop records outta San Fran (they usually put out good product back in the day). The production is handled by Clean and G2 ( G squared) and lyrics and scratches by G2. Enjoy

The Unos - No Zero Ep (Powerlight Records 1985)
Well in my opinion a lot of people are wrong sayin' it's an awesome rap ep. Damn You must be tasteless. The only reason I've posted it here is that the plate is quite uncommon. Not monster rare naww heatin rap, no remorse with rating this kind of stuff. Though You might still like it or interested in what is it like?!
One of the first Christian rap album released in the CCM market, 1985's "Gospel Rap" by the Rap Sures, started off as a joke. Terry Scott Taylor recorded the album with Rob Watson & Doug Doyle as "The Rap’sures". And so the Rap Sures became one of the first Christian rap acts to release a nationally distributed record.
Real Brothers - Soul Controllers (Black Vinyl Records 1992)
This is one of the most awesome groups I´ve ever heard. A very rare and hard to find stuff. Soul/Funk beats and conscious lyrics. Enjoy this classic material. Peace and respect for all people.
Thanks to Algarfern for spreadin' the knowledge!
Jeff Ski - Preachin' Reality (Unknown Records 1989)
Yo! This one is hard to bite I guess. Though I ain't got info about the label factory if it came out with an album sleeve or summat. Anyway I have no idea who is Jeff Ski. Is it the only stuff he made ? Though I bless the one who can provide me with some info.

Rhyme Poets - Nation Within' The Nation (Metal Groove Records 1989)
It's not a fairy tale...lol but a real history...well I have to admit I found it cheap, utter bargain price, bought the plate for 20 bucks at the market flea. Though I've noticed it's worth more than 100-150 bucks for a plate. I thought "Damn, I gotta be lucky'' :) Anyway the lp represents cool late 80's fast rap lyrics on eclectical drum machine. It's a very rare 89' rap lp released on a private press. You won't see it often. By the time You have it here for a free download, don't waste Your chance & check the muthafcukin' clock!

Parental Discretion - Untitled Lp (Cold Crush Records 1991)
That's insane when You know bollox about the record, if You ain't familiar with the given credits fo' the record, if You don't know what is the cover alike ? Anyway the Lp is a boom insanity of random records, dope stuff included on 11 tracks. Though I had no idea about the label , where is it from, who was the founder etc. Cold Crush Records just rings a bell but where for God sake!?
Reverend Rhyme - According To Rap (Birthright Records 1987)
The Reverend (Yeah He's really) Rhyme does his best to reach out to the youth and spread his message but his efforts end up sounding like an ecclesiastical Wesley Willis. With hollering lyrics over Casio beats, "According to Rap" gaily skips across the "so bad it's good" line. The track "the Devil is a Big Lie" is Reverend Rhyme at his best, with an extended breakdown listing some of the Prince of Darkness' most insidious qualities (meditative?). The lp was also released on the tape so it's good news for tape maniacs. Nevertheless the lp is very unique so if you are not into christian rap so much I offer You to buy a copy just in case of its 'collection purposes' value.

Little Ko-Chees & The X-Club - Holler At Me (Attitude Records 1993)
An average lp suitable for Miami Headz! Miami Bass revealing a new face of the scene.Nice connection of electro & fast gangsta stuff. Doesn't sound encouraging? All I want to say is them lp is just an utter production you can find thousands of similar things. Though there is one or two tracks well worth spinning a few times!
A little bit of history...Litlle Ko-Chees is a hip-hop/hardcore rap artist that published two albums "Holler At Me" in 1993 and The 57th Blow in 1992 as their first album with one song.Coming away the next yer with a one hit single ("Work Baby Work") in 1994. Mighty Rock - Life Is A Struggle (4 Owe 5 Records 1985)
That's a pitty it is the only release on this label. Ain't that bad because the record is deffo! More than 6 minutes of real, electro heat straight from the legendary Amos Larkin! By any means this record is very scarce & obscure as I've seen it just once on the bay. It fetched over 150 $. Fortunately I own a copy but I had to pay a little bit more - that's the price of being lucky, haha. Mighty Rock had another release called ''Dolphin's Rap'' but within different record company. Mc Price & Dj Double Trouble - My Life Story (Standin Tuff Records 1991)
DJ Shadow first brought the group to everyone's attention when he spun their B-side killer, 'The Price Is Right', on his 'Diminishing Returns' mix. Only no one knew their name as, in less-than-typical MC braggadocio fashion, Price wasn't giving clues. The one thing listeners DID know, however, was that the song was a face-melter. The MC rode the Meters' 'Cissy Strut' like few before him and anytime you add a hook by Rakim (and a dash of Mountain's 'Long Red') on the chorus, you have an instant winner.
Calling 'My Life Story' the typical 'cautionary tale of the pitfalls of a life of crime' would be doing the song a disservice. First, the track manages to seamlessly blend four well-known staples of hip-hop sampling, The Turtles' 'I'm Chief Kamanawanalea' (drums), Funkadelic's 'You'll Like It, Too' (drums), Orange Krush's 'Action' (guitar) and ESG's slowed down, oft-sampled 'UFO' space intro. Listening to the final product and you can't help but wonder whether there was a greater design at work - as if the four seemingly disparate parts were created for this purpose... and this purpose alone. And MC Price doesn't waste the opportunity:
God knows I tried to do the right thing, But the more I pushed, yo, the harder it seemed.
When I went to school, I didn't have fun,
I had to watch my back, in my sack was a gun.
Not a choice of mine to let the jammy release,
But if you try, you die, and then you rest in peace.
I was on the go, kinda movin' too quick,
But I was sold like gold by the neighborhood snitch.

Legion Of Doom - Puttin' My Thang Down (Distinctive Records 1993)
Philly brought us some great rap records from day one. I've always been a fan of that Philly stuff – whether it's old school, random or indie records – Philly left his mark in the land of hip hop with tons of good artists and dope releases – Jazzy Jeff & Fresh Prince, DJ Miz, Steady B, Cool C, Three Times Dope, Another 1-4-U-2-N-V, Phill Most Chill, Tuff Crew, Schoolly D, just to name a few. Get a taste of that Philly flavor on the amazing mix CD "The Wreckshop Philly Golden Era Vol. 1" by Aroe & The Soundmakers.
Let me tell you about a group that wasn't featured on the above-mentioned CD. There were a few different crews from different regions that went by the name of "Legion of Doom" in the 90's, and Philly had its own Legion of Doom too. That Philly Legion of Doom already released the very dope "Gangster Boogie / Here I Come / Live Bait" 12" in 1989 or 1990 on Bill Collectors, which is a tough one to find. I've first heard about this group in 2003, and from then on I've started the mission to find out more about this group and their releases. Well, what I can tell you so far is that Philly's Legion of Doom released two 12" singles – the "Gangster Boogie" and the "Puttin My Thang Down" 12" – plus a cassette only album with the title "2 Hard 4 The Radio" (Distinctive Records 1993). I've also heard some LOD tunes on a mixtape cassette that weren't on any of their three mentioned releases... So where do these tunes come from? On which medium where they released? Until now, I still couldn't get any further infos and it seems that my mission ain't accomplished yet.
Phill Most Chill did a great review job on Legion of Doom's "Live Bait" – an amazing track taken from their first 12" – on his blogsite "That Real Schitt", so let me continue Phill The Soulman's work and give you some infos about this group's second, dope as hell 12" with the title "Puttin My Thang Down / No More Music". The label already reveals what this 12" is all about: "Too Hard for the Radio!". While the a-side is packed with a funky and sample based beat, the b-side delivers some ruff rhymes with the chorus "I guarantee you no more music by the suckers". So you know the deal.
The Legion of Doom consisted of two members: Live and Charlie Bass. Production is handled by both, but you can only hear Live spitting lyrics. The statement "Too Hard for the Radio" was also taken as the title for their tape only album that followed later in '93.
It took me some time to find this 12" in great condition for a reasonable price. Due to its rareness and quality this is a much sought after piece of wax amongst collectors and always fetches very high prices on auction sites.Philly at its best! ONE!

R.C.U. - In The House (Roe City Records 1989)
A piece of rarity. Though I can't post a scan of this record 'cause I sold the record. Just an ordinary yellow label with a tracklisting. A-side with vocals and a few instrumentals on the flip side. Not a bad record containing some of electro beats & miami bass style. Though there is one r'n'b love song if I remember! All in all an average stuff but fookin' rare!

Chill Divine - Puttin' It Wildly (Square Records 1990)
Chill Divine's debut (only?) 12" on New Jersey's Square Records was a particularly impressive one.
The two tracks on here - 'Long Live The Lyrical' (which starts off hilariously with homeboy shouting "You ain't hittin' in L.A., Chill!") and 'Puttin' It Wildly' - are of equal calibre. Funky enough to have you turning your head and vocally strong enough to distance itself from a lot of similar things from the same era.
Check 'Long Live The Lyrical' for a burst of Chill's skills:
"I'm the one who came off, now here's a presentation,
Leaves ya mouth shut, I perform the operation.
My personal opinion: you deal wid this,
I'm not a king, a prince, a force, a ruler - I'm the lyricist.
The first verse now ended in the serial,
I'm Chill Divine - long live the lyrical"
The flow gets a little difficult to follow in places as he's practically rhyming the next word before he's finished the first, but it doesn't offend the ears. He's eager, to say the least.
'Puttin' It Wildly' is out-and-out dope: familiar loop (that'd be 'Mardi Gras' - as he says, "On top of the bells: don't touch that EQ"), some neck-snapping drums, a healthy quantity of rhymes... it's nothing particularly unusual, but it sounds good.
The package is made complete by the amazing cover, which looks about five years too late. Big bold lettering, an Afrocentric illustration and some bizarre rainbow spraypaint effects make this one stand out.
The production was handled by Chill himself and Rev Roc, who was doing ghost production for Mantronik previously.
Having been contacted by Chill, I found out that Rev Roc also goes by the name of Ike Lee III; he went on to produce a lot of r&b tracks for artists such as Mary J. Blige and Erykah Badu and also remixed Ultramagnetic's 'Poppa Large'.
This seems to be the only release by Chill to date, and you can't help wishing he'd followed this up with some more music. Great stuff.
Thanx a lot
I've seen there's a little bit of comments, so thanx for all of 'em. Though big props go to HSPUSSY! Thanx for the support of me blogsite. My blog was dedicated to albums only but thought it's gonna be ok if I post some of those kewl 12''s! You can prepare for some 'random' heaters soon!

Civi & Bambi - Roxanne Ep (Basement Records 1986)
Well, Roxanne's Saga Continues... who can tell how many records were made with that roxanne in the title? Damn it must be more than hundreds...anyway this ep is awesome. Moreover it's a lesser known production, very in demand by the collectors. Prices fetched nearly 100 bucks for a copy. Though You can check it now if this is worth these money! Peace

Count Coolout - Untitled lp (Boss Records 1995)
Count Coolout has always been familiar with that oldschool thing but what the fuck ? A 95' lp ? Yeah that's true & as long it's quite amusing I can't say anything more about this lp. It's so wack...sensless of buggin' with it!
Though there are those jams back from the eighties, the rest is just a boo-boo. It's rare I guess.

Kyper - Conceited (Traction Records 1987)
Due to the fact I love his productions I gotta tell Ya some about this dude!
KYPER’S career in the entertainment industry began at an early age. By the age of five he sang and danced to such artist as Whoodini, James Brown, George Clinton, Roger Troutman, Michael Jackson and Prince on a table top during parties thrown by his parents. As a dancer, KYPER would move to the rhythms of Run DMC, Syberian Knights, Afrika Bambaatta and the electrical voices of Pretty Tony, Kraftwerk, E.W. &F. and Peter Frampton. By age 13, KYPER had out grown the lip sync stage and began writing his own lyrics and music. He soon moved into D’Jing which gave him valuable experience in turntablism, producing, engineering and mixing.
While in middle school, KYPER was hand picked to play drums in his band director’s top 40 funk band. KYPER’S parents who at that time were both educators became a bit hesitant in allowing there pre-teen son to perform with adults in a funk band, for fear that exposure to the club scene would affect his studies, sports and band activities. But KYPER’S talents could not go unnoticed and eventually his parents agreed under certain stipulations, “that you finish school and make something of yourself.”
Who would have thought that shortly there after, KYPER would release a massive string of regional, national and worldwide radio and club hits. KYPER’S first single “Conceited” became a hit in various southern markets. The single conceited also won most outstanding new artist, best engineered record, and producer of the year honors at the Annual Jackson Mississippi Music Awards. His second single “Throw Down” was a regional club phenomenon packed with electronic voices and hard hitting bass throughout the entire song.

Suicide Posse - Still The Mic Champion (Don Data Records 1992)
Some would say it's a random rap monster! Yeah not seen as much as we would like to expect it! Though the ep contains 4 tracks where 2 of 'em are kinda raggae rap style , the rest is in style of those fast rappin random joints! If you got a chance to buy a copy bear in mind it's not worth more that 150 bucks...Silly ain't it ? I would have never pay that money.....LOL
